This ongoing series explores the concept of city flags. What the flags of modern California cities look like if they had existed during the Italian Renaissance? What if the major employer in that city became influential enough that the cities became city-state style enclaves and lent its own brand to it? What if we re-imagine the modern city logo as an emblem on a flag or banner?
