Project Overview
Fandrop was Fantoon Labs' social clipping, web application. Envisioned as a hybrid of clipping applications—like Pinterest—and various feed-based, social media—like Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr—the application was designed to let users build collections via the power of the clipping tool. The tool let users upload their own content or clip nearly anything from nearly anywhere online and have it still work properly be it an image, a video, or even Flash applications.
My Role
I worked along side the primary front-end developer to design and implement the UI throughout the various versions of the project. Additionally, I implemented spritesheets as a method to create a faster and more homogenous experience. Furthermore, I wrote the CSS and assisted with the writing of a little of the PHP (under the careful watch of the primary front-end developer).
